Hello. I'm an author looking for some answers on threatened miscarriage. I am writing a fictional story and my heroine experiences a threaten miscarriage.
I was trying to write it to a similar experience I had with my 2nd son (who is now a healthy happy 10 year old) but at 8 weeks after picking up some luggage I
felt a gush (almost like I had peed my pants) and went to the bathroom and discovered blood on my underwear. My husband took me to the ER where I had an
ultrasound done and showed...

Hi All,
This is my second try to post this..hope it works this time. I have a friend, 19 years old, and pregnant with her first...unfortunately conceived in rape. She's had understandably mixed feelings about this pregnancy, but is now freaking out because she's bleeding so much (at the beginning of her 3rd trimester). My question: How often do they do internal pelvic exams for this sort of bleeding? She's going twice a week, which seems extreme given her history. She comes over,...

Hi, am just looking for support and advise. Am 5 weeks pregnant and yesterday I started bleeding, light red then bright red. My GP sent me to the ER at the womens hospital. I sat there for 4 hours thinking to myself what is the point I know I've lost the baby! When I did see the doctor she told me that she wanted to do an internal, I told her that I had lost a lot of blood and I knew the baby had gone. However after the internal the doctor explained to me that what I though was a lot of blood...

Hi,

I am currently in a very stressed state. On 12/2/03, it was confirmed that I was pregnant. I was given a due date and told how many weeks I was pregnant. Man, I was so excited. On 12/3/03, I went to the restroom and noticed a brownish colored blood when I wiped. I was concerned and I called my clinic and they told me to go to ER immediately. I went to ER, they took blood and told me that my hcg levels were a little low, but...

I have just lost my baby at 17 weeks. Most of my pregnancy was marred with blood. I am 40 years of age. After having twins in 1990, I had a massive abdominal hernia repair operation. I still have 100 stitches in my abdominal wall. I believe it was because of the pressure in my uterus trying to grow, and not being able to, caused the premature rupture of the membranes. I am utterly devasted and horrified at what my body has done to my perfectly formed miracle baby. He was able to hang on...
